Well hello! I’m so excited your here! I’m Lindsey Fleeman, Owner and Lead Designer of Fleeman Floral Events.
A passion for flowers and sharing them with the world runs deep into my bones. Creating and designing in a way that reflects you brings so much joy. Loving people through flowers is my aim and purpose.
I was born and raised and in am still a Texas girl at heart. But I love living in Maryland. It’s so wonderful to have seasons and to live so close to the water. Being on the east coast is certainly an adjustment. I LOVE seafood, so having so much fresh seafood cooked by experts in the area is quite the treat!
When I’m not getting to know my clients or planning/ designing/ installing arrangements for weddings I enjoy quite a few things. Some of my favorites are gardening, hiking, working jigsaw puzzles, gardening, traveling to see family, traveling to visit friends and enjoy the cultures around the world, and painting. I actually have a cut garden also that I use for some of the wedding arrangements!
More about Fleeman Floral Events
My home-based studio is in Glen Burnie, MD where I am also an urban flower farmer. I grow some of the flowers in your arrangements personally. This ensures quality, availability, and freshness of the flowers for your event. I support other local flower farms and try to use local blooms when possible.
Why is using local flowers important to me?
It reflects the area where you are and season for your event.
Using local flowers reduces the energy required to get the flowers for your wedding. Instead of being flown halfway around the world, they travel just a few miles drastically reducing the carbon footprint left by your wedding.
Locally grown flowers are just the best quality and the freshest flowers hands down.
Often you can use more fragile flowers that just don’t transport well from wholesalers.
Your wedding flowers contribute to the sustainability of the flower industry and gives back to the environment.
I am committed to giving back to the community. I love it when you can continue to enjoy your wedding flowers after your wedding. But we also understand that there are only so many flowers one can take home.
If there are remaining florals after your event, we will facilitate sharing your wedding florals with local nursing homes to brighten their days and help to bring smiles to faces that might not be in the habit of smiling. In addition to your arrangements, I will also create additional arrangements with any remaining flowers to send along as well. So booking with me also enables me to give more back to the community.
